Many New Zealand high schools are struggling to fund essential basic equipment for their chemistry laboratories. The NZIC, via the Chemical Education Trust, supports chemical education by making grants for the purchase of items of equipment.
Equipment examples include molecular models, glassware, pipettes, balances and grants towards larger equipment such as pH meters and spectrophotometers. Grants are made only to New Zealand schools, and all applications must be received by 1 August.
NZIC members can include a donation when paying their annual NZIC subscription. All donations will be receipted. Since the Trust is a registered charitable trust your donation will qualify for a tax rebate.
Donations can also be made directly to:

or through our website:
If you have any questions about making a donation, please get in touch.
The Trustees are all past Presidents of NZIC. Current trustees are Gordon Rewcastle (Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre), Michele Prinsep (University of Waikato) and Ian Brown (Callaghan Innovation)
