Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Metal-Organic Frameworks

We are looking for a synthetic chemist to take up a postdoctoral research fellowship in the group of Professor Shane Telfer. The position will focus on the catalytic applications of new metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). We anticipate that it will lead to exciting results and high impact publications.

Applicants must be creative, motivated and ambitious. Ideally, applicants will have a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry. Experience with framework materials and X-ray crystallography is desirable but not essential.

The is a two-year fixed-term position based in the School of Fundamental Sciences, Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand. The successful applicant will join a small, dynamic team that enjoys access to world-class research facilities. Opportunities exist for joint research via the MacDiarmid Institute and our international collaborators.

The position will commence on October 1, 2020, or a mutually agreed date thereafter. The salary will be NZ$74,500 + p.a. Applications close July 14, 2020, and are to be made online at (position ref. CS_SFS_246_05/20).
