School Membership

  1. Membership
  2. School Membership

School membership of NZIC is offered to New Zealand Secondary Schools on a calendar year basis.

Schools

When a school registers with the NZIC, all teachers at that school can become members of SCENZ (Secondary Chemistry Educators of New Zealand) and can each create a free Teacher Account to access resources on the website.

“Small” schools, defined as those schools with a roll of < 300 students in years 9–13, are eligible for a 25% reduction in the membership cost.

Upon joining the NZIC as a school member, the school will receive the following benefits:

  • Access to all previous and current year parallel NCEA exams. These exams are for the school to use to help prepare their students.
  • Access to resources developed by SCENZ to support chemistry teaching and learning in NZ schools
  • Access to professional development opportunities that support chemistry teaching in NZ schools
  • Access to the Chemistry in New Zealand journal online

**School membership for 2025 is subsidised by 50% and this is reflected in the prices listed below. An announcement amount membership fees for 2026 will be made later in the year.**
